Head of User Experience & Design

Company Overview

Coined “the future of interior design” by Architectural Digest, Fuigo is a first-of-its kind digital platform that empowers interior designers by providing them with the business management tools and marketplace they need to succeed.

We believe the individual defines the role as much or more than we do and are looking for product designers excited to join a small but growing team. In this role you will lead the creative process from research through implementation and we're looking for designers comfortable with both interactive and visual design.

We’re looking for visionaries that can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders.

  • Partner with our product, engineering, sales and marketing teams by creating, improving and using wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas.
  • Advocate for the customer and follow user-centered design principles. Leverage our Park Avenue studio as a R&D lab to get immediate feedback and inform design decisions
  • Research and define user personas for our products
  • Grow and build a leading best in class UX design team while implementing industry best practices
  • Work closely with our engineering team to make informed UI/UX decisions

  • A strong portfolio of work demonstrating conceptual, UX and visual design
  • A user-centered design approach, leading design sprints and UX research
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud or Sketch, as well as rapid prototyping using InVision or similar
  • Bonus points if you are able to write HTML and CSS
  • Experience with the agile product development process
  • Experience attracting, hiring and retaining top design talent.
  • Experience working cross functionally with engineers, dev teams, sales, and marketing
  • Ability to represent the company in client discussions with professionalism and intelligence
  • Communication, leadership, team building, and people skills
